Nollywood actress Eniola Badmus has addressed the recent disagreement with her colleague, Laide Bakare, that occurred at a premiere event on April 14.
A viral video showed the two actresses having a heated exchange, which led to accusations from Laide Bakare that Eniola was the instigator of the disagreement. Despite the online backlash, Eniola chose not to respond directly to Laide’s video post on Tuesday.
Instead, she shared a message on her X page, reflecting on life’s lessons regarding strength and conflict. In her post, Eniola emphasized that true strength is found not in engaging in conflict, but in embracing unity.
“Life has a way of teaching us that true strength lies not in conflict, but in unity, Though we may have walked different paths and faced moments of tension, I believe it’s time to let love lead. There is no need for jealousy when we can all succeed. Your success does not diminish mine, just as mine does not take away from yours,” Eniola wrote.
Eniola also spoke about the importance of collaboration and mutual respect. She encouraged people to avoid conflict, not out of weakness, but out of wisdom, highlighting that peace fosters progress and that love is the guiding light.
“Let us continue to collaborate, to lift each other, and to build something greater than what we could ever achieve alone. There’s strength in unity and a future brighter than any victory we’ve pursued alone. Let us avoid conflict, not because we are weak, but because we are wise. Peace is the path to progress, and love is the light that shows us the way. Here’s to better days, guided by understanding, shared goals, and mutual respect,” she concluded.
