Actress Funke Akindele has mourned her Jenifa’s Diary co-star Jumoke Aderounmu.
According to sources, a family member broke the news of Jumoke’s death over the weekend.
Funke Akindele reacted to the tragedy on Monday by sharing the obituary on her Instagram story, calling Jumoke’s death “sad.”
“Sad!!! “Rest well, Jumoke,” she wrote simply.
Jumoke has made appearances in various Yoruba films, including Toyin Abraham’s Alakada. Rita Dominic co-produced La Femme Anjola, in which she also appeared.
The deceased’s funeral has since been held at Owu Baptist Church in the Totoro area of Abeokuta in Ogun State.
The actress was about 40 years old. Before she left Jenifa’s Diary, she portrayed the character Esther.
