Funke Akindele, a popular Nollywood actress, has spoken out about the ongoing disagreement between hype man Adesina Taiwo, also known as God Over Everything (GOE), and his protégé, Barber Chair.
The disagreement has received a lot of attention on social media, with both sides airing their frustrations online.
According to reports, GOE was disappointed by Barber Chair’s choice to part ways after investing millions in his career.
He admitted that Barber Chair’s wish to depart had greatly affected him. Funke Akindele, recognized for her appearances in high-grossing films, resorted to social media to address the issue.
In a live session with both GOE and Barber Chair, she advised the young protégé to reconsider his decision.
The actress underlined the value of patience and resilience, advising Barber Chair not to make snap decisions that could jeopardize his future.
“There is nothing on the street,” Funke Akindele said in part, encouraging Barber Chair to stay with his mentor and continue his training.
She emphasized that departing prematurely would undermine the valuable learning and chances offered under GOE’s supervision.
The actress also gave GOE some advise, stating that while discipline is important, it should be balanced with understanding.
She told him not to be too severe with Barber Chair and to give him the ability to make his own decisions, even if it meant going back to the streets.
However, she opposed any attempts to coerce Barber Chair to pursue education without his will.
