Hilda Dokubo, a Nollywood actress and political dynamo, has reportedly been suspended from her position as a Labour Party (LP) member in Asari Toru Local Government Area (LGA) in Rivers State.

Hilda Dokubo, the influential chairperson of the LP in Rivers, is presently embroiled in a massive scandal.

According to the Peoples Gazette, she is facing a slew of serious charges, including financial impropriety, abuse of office, and a flagrant violation of party rules, among many others.

Dokubo was suspended on July 15 after an emergency meeting of the party’s ward executive committee, and the Asari Toru LGA executives of the LP affirmed the suspension on July 18.

The suspension was informed to the LP chairman of Asari Toru LGA via a nasty letter. The letter, which reads like a litany of political troubles, was allegedly signed by a number of ward executives, including ward chairman Ajalamonia Ibama, secretary Lole Amacheer, and treasurer Emmanuel Ibamathe.

The women’s leader, Osaki Dieypiriye, and the press secretary, Osaki Dokubo, also signed the incendiary document, adding weight to the charges.

The ward executives, demonstrating their determination, declared that before deciding to suspend Dokubo, they had carefully and thoroughly looked into the accusations made against her.

In their ardent declaration, the party officials emphasized their steadfast dedication to the Labour Party’s integrity and strong ethical standards. They emphasized that no one, regardless of status, is above the law or the party’s strict regulations.
