CEO of Agidigbo FM, Oriyomi Hamzat, surprised veteran Yoruba actress Abigail Oladeji, also known as Iya Niwe, with a nicely furnished apartment.

This lovely gift was given to her when she returned from a trip to Jerusalem.

Hamzat shared moments from the housewarming on Instagram, showing Iya Niwe’s emotional response as she got the keys.

A large crowd gathered outside the property, and the veteran actress was in tears, holding tightly to the media personality who had given her an extravagant gift.

Hamzat comforted Iya Niwe and used scissors to cut the ribbon of balloons, marking the property’s unveiling.

Another clip showed Iya Niwe’s astonished face as she walked into the house, still coming to terms with being a homeowner.

The actress, overwhelmed with thankfulness, appreciated Hamzat for his kindness. The post from the media figure said:

Iya Niwe is a well-loved star in the Yoruba movie industry, recognized for her comedic parts in classic 90s films such as ‘Agogo Idanile’ (1991) and ‘Osumare’ (1995).

In a 2024 interview, she mentioned that she began farming in her village due to financial struggles, but Hamzat convinced her to leave that behind and concentrate on her acting.She said:

“Thank you Hamzat. I was into farming already when Hamzat insisted I stopped.”

“I went back to Ikire after I was sent out of my house in Ibadan because I couldn’t afford rent.”
