Nigerian filmmaker and actress Mary Njoku has openly discussed her challenges with parenting, admitting that raising her three children has proven to be quite difficult.

In a heartfelt post on Instagram, Mary conveyed her deep respect for her mother, who successfully raised eight children while maintaining her composure. She revealed that she is already feeling overwhelmed with just three kids.

    Her post reads:

    “Who’s awake?

    Can’t sleep.

Thinking about how my mum raised eight kids and stayed sane.

Meanwhile, I’m losing it with just three”

Mary’s experiences as a parent are not unfamiliar to her followers, as she has previously shared her insights on social media. Last year, she characterized parenting as a “real jungle,” where one must be prepared for the unexpected. She underscored the significance of unconditional love in parenting, noting that her children frequently test her patience.

The mother of three has also recounted amusing stories from her parenting journey, including a lighthearted exchange with her daughter, who playfully remarked on her lack of interest in luxury items during her younger years. Her children have even referred to her as “old,” despite her being under 40.

In addition to sharing her personal challenges, Mary has utilized her platform to advocate for mothers’ rights and to raise awareness about the necessity of supporting mothers. Last year, she stressed that mothers should not be pressured to change their names to align with their underage children’s unless they are also permitted to alter the children’s names.

Mary has also provided guidance to men regarding the importance of treating their wives with respect and kindness, emphasizing how this behavior influences their children’s development. She pointed out that a gentle wife and mother cannot nurture strong and confident children without being supported and valued.
