Nancy Isime, a Nollywood actress, answers unconcerned to criticism from the Muslim community about her upcoming film project.
Nancy marketed her new project on Instagram a few days ago, posting images of herself wearing a niqab and carrying a firearm, as well as photos of her cast members, one of whom was wearing a hijab during a robbery scene.
The Muslim community chastised Nancy for disregarding her religion and everything it stands for. They highlighted the meaning of the niqab and voiced dissatisfaction with those who do not share their principles and use their religious garb for selfish purposes.
In response, Nancy shared fresh photographs on Instagram with captions emphasizing her focus on peace and personal aspirations.
She stressed that she avoids drama and gossip, prefers serenity, and does not disturb or get bothered by others.
In her words;
“Really out the way. In my own world. No drama, no gossip. Just goals and money. Peace is where I’m at.
“I don’t bother nobody & I’m not bothered by nobody. That’s my peace. To protect my peace, I stopped taking other people’s projected opinions personally.
“Reminder: Your light often highlights other people’s insecurities and shortcomings, which they will then project back to you as a flaw. It’s a coping mechanism. Attacking you makes them feel safer.
