Nollywood actress Nazo Ekezie pointed out that women who succeed in their marriages are not desperate and have choices.
She mentioned that if marriage becomes inconvenient for these women, they can walk away because they have alternatives. In contrast, she feels that desperate women tend to settle for any man.
The actress shared her experience of dating a man who was also interested in other men. She found out too late, and it really bothered her.
Nazo shared a story about her friend who was eager to get married. This desire led her friend to lower her own worth in front of her boyfriend. Nazo remembered when they were looking for an apartment in Lagos, and her friend wanted a small place so her boyfriend wouldn’t think she was a gold digger.
Nazo’s friend took on the role of a contractor and helped her boyfriend, who was in Europe, build a house in Nigeria without asking for payment. She did this for free to prove she was good wife material. After many years of dating, the guy ended up leaving her for someone else.
