A funny scene was captured in a video that is becoming viral on the internet. The Nollywood actress Wumi Toriola taught her son Zion the Yoruba language, which is her native tongue.
Famous for her critically acclaimed native films, like Queen Lateefah, among many others, Wumi was sighted on Sunday morning greeting her fans and offering heartfelt prayers for them. She was accompanied by her 4-year-old child.
The movie diva prayed in Yoruba in the video, and Zion mimicked her in the same tongue, which caused comments on social media.
The video’s most notable feature was Zion’s distinct intonations when speaking in his native tongue.
He said, “Ekaaro gbogbo eniyan, Eku Sunday ooni, emi a se opolopo. Gbogbo bo ba se je, Olorun a wa pelu wa. Gbogbo eyin ten gbawe, Olorun a wa pelu yii”.Translating, “Good morning everyone, today’s Sunday, may we witness more. Whatever happens, God is with us. All of you that are fasting, God is with us”.
After watching the video, many on social media couldn’t stop laughing at the young boy’s Yoruba accent.
