Nigerian music star Adekunle Gold didn’t hold back in teasing fellow artist Joeboy, who recently suffered a major betting loss. Joeboy had placed a N3 million wager on Real Madrid to defeat Arsenal in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League quarterfinal clash at the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday night.
Before kickoff, Joeboy had taken to social media to proudly show off a screenshot of his bold bet, which would have earned him a whopping N10.3 million if Madrid had secured the win.
Unfortunately for the singer, things didn’t go as planned. Arsenal delivered a dominant performance, cruising to a 3-0 victory over the Spanish giants—leaving Joeboy empty-handed and wide open for Adekunle Gold’s light-hearted mockery.
Sharing the bet slip via X, Joeboy wrote: “Cashing out on Arsenal tears tonight!”
After the game, Adekunle Gold reposted the tweet, writing: “Lmao. You don go blow stream money . Next time face your club.”
