A video has surfaced showing Nollywood actress Funke Akindele expressing her gratitude to Nigerian singer D’banj, whose real name is Oladapo Daniel Oyebanjo.

GistLover previously reported that Akindele included several well-known singers in her latest project, Everybody Loves Jenifa, featuring artists like Lagbaja and D’banj.

In the trending video, the actress praises D’banj and shares how he became involved in the project.

According to her, the singer who apologized to ex-Mo’Hits members left his own work to help her.

In the recording, the well-known filmmaker shared that D’banj told his team he wouldn’t be able to travel again.

She added that the Koko Master planned to support his sister’s project. Akindele further mentioned that D’banj did not charge her for his role in Everybody Loves Jenifa.

In other news, Emeka Akumefule, also known as Blaqbonez, a famous Nigerian rapper, has spoken up about his upbringing.

In an interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo, Blaqbonez revealed that his father abandoned him at infancy.

He stated that as a result, he was not raised by his father.

“My Dad kind of dipped when I was born, so he wasn’t there. I wasn’t raised by my dad,” he shared.

During the interview, Blaqbonez called himself “the best rapper in Africa.”

He said that no African rapper had a better discography than him.

Last year, award-winning Ghanaian-American singer Amaarae called Blaqbonez the best rapper in Nigeria.
