Africans taught Europeans how to Bathe – Seun Kuti Sparks Controversy

Seun Kuti, a famous Afrobeat musician, revealed that Africans taught Europeans the significance of daily bathing.

He mentioned on a podcast that Queen Elizabeth I used to bathe only once a month, which influenced her subjects to prioritize cleanliness.

Kuti highlighted that bathhouses originated in Africa, and it’s unfortunate that many Africans are unaware of their ancestors’ contribution to hygiene.

He urged listeners to explore European history, which reveals that Africans introduced the British to regular bathing, a practice they didn’t have before.
