Nigerians have taken to social media to react to a recent comment by the Senator representing Lagos Central in the National Assembly, Oluremi Tinubu.
It was reported earlier that Tinubu tackled her colleague from Kogi West, Smart Adeyemi, over his comments on Nigeria’s security challenges.
The latter was contributing to a motion raised by Niger East Senator, Sani Musa, that Boko Haram has hoisted its flag in a Shiroro Local Government Area of the state. Adeyemi said it is time to put away politics and call out President Muhammadu Buhari over the growing cases of insecurity in Nigeria.
The lawmaker said the country is facing the worst instability since the civil war, adding that the security system has collapsed and innocent citizens are the receiving end.
However, Tinubu while Adeyemi was still expressing himself, interrupted and asked: “Are you in People’s Democratic Party? Are you a wolf in sheep’s clothing?”
Gistlover understands that Tinubu’s question to Adeyemi has raised a barrage of reactions on social media as netizens slammed the lawmaker who is hoping to one day become the country’s First Lady.
The netizens in their lamentation noted that former First Lady, Patience Jonathan would have shown empathy on the ongoing insecurity challenges in the country.
Speaking on the incumbent, First Lady Aisha Muhammadu Buhari, the citizens said despite being the worst and selfish first lady, she would be better than aspiring Remi Tinubu.
“Patience Jonathan had empathy, a typical African mother. But you see Aisha Buhari and the one doing flapapa in Senate to come and become Nigeria’s First Lady. The duo does not care whether we are all consumed in one day. No matter what we do, Remi Tinubu must not become 1st lady,” said Sammy Amadi.
On her part, another user of the microblogging platform, tweeted: “Patience Jonathan would show empathy. She would speak & meet the mothers who have been left without their husbands & children.
“So I wonder why the insensitive Remi Tinubu thinks she could be First Lady? The worst of SELFISH Aisha Buhari, is still better than Remi.”
