Aisha Drags Govt. For Using Miyetti Allah To Negotiate Release Of Schoolboys

Aisha Drags Govt. For Using Miyetti Allah To Negotiate Release Of Schoolboys.

The Co-convener of the #BringBackOurGirls movement, Aisha Yesufu, has called out the government for using Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association, MACBAN, to negotiate the release of students of Government Secondary School, Kankara, Kastina State.

Earlier reports, Zamfara State Governor, Bello Matawalle, while speaking with Daily Nigerian, disclosed that the state consulted MACBAN and some repentant bandits to negotiate the schoolboys’ release.

Katsina State Governor, Aminu Masari, on Thursday confirmed the release of the schools, adding that no ransom was paid for their release.

Yesufu in her reaction to the development, questioned the decision of the government to use MACBAN in the negotiation.

“Miyetti Allah negotiated with terrorists on behalf of the government. In what capacity?” Aisha said.

“Is Miyetti Allah a trained negotiating organisation or a fellow terror organisation with access?”

“What the heck is going on in Nigeria? How are we comfortable with a supposed ethnic group being the one negotiating with terrorists on behalf of the government.”
