Activist Aisha Yesufu has addressed allegations suggesting that she is collaborating to undermine social critic Martins Vincent Otse, also known as Very Dark Man.
Recently, Aisha expressed her support for the Falanas, who have called for a retraction and an apology from VDM regarding his remarks made during the release of a purported audio conversation involving Bobrisky and an unidentified individual.
In this audio, Bobrisky allegedly stated that Falz had contacted him, indicating that his father, Femi Falana, could assist in securing a presidential pardon for 10 million naira, thereby clearing his criminal record.
VDM responded with disdain, questioning the Falanas’ association with Bobrisky and making a remark interpreted by some as an inquiry into Falz’s sexual orientation. The Falanas have announced their intention to pursue legal action against him.
In her earlier comments, Aisha warned that if the Falanas were to overlook their dispute with VDM, it might be perceived as an admission of guilt regarding the allegations presented in the audio recording. Nonetheless, some Nigerians have accused her of conspiring with the Falanas to discredit VDM.
In response to these accusations, Aisha shared her thoughts in a post on her X account.
‘’I have just seen an accusation that all I am interested in is to bring VDM down
As in because I want to do his work or I want to be helping people?
I have said here severally, I do not want to help people. I just want people to not need my help and anyone that takes on whatever, actually helps me to be my lazy self.
Anyway, whether anyone is fighting for anyone or not, it doesn’t give anyone the right to tarnish anyone’s hard earned reputation.
Also that someone has a name is not a reason for them to not fight those who try to tarnish their reputation.
THAT BE THE BIGGER PERSON NONSENSE HAS TO STOP!”
