Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa has pledge early completion of road construction as he direct contractors working on road projects throughout the state to promptly return to the sites.
At a meeting between the contractors and the Ministry of Works and Infrastructure, which was presided over by Mr. Allen Idowu, Permanent Secretary, Aiyedatiwa issued the command.
According to a statement given on Saturday in Akure to Governor Ebenezer Adeniyan, Aiyedatiwa also gave his approval for the state’s 60 km of roads to be rehabilitated and paved over in asphalt over the course of the next three months.
The governor promised that all of the state’s ongoing infrastructure projects will be completed on schedule.
In order to expedite project completion, he gave the Ministry of Works and Infrastructure instructions to re-mobilize contractors to the job sites.
He emphasized the administration’s will to get right into implementing the government’s policies and programs as outlined in the budget.
Aiyedatiwa pledged to pay contractors on time for work completed and indicated her willingness to see to it that the resources required are made available on schedule to support them.
The ministry’s permanent secretary stated that the contractors were prepared to fulfill the governor’s deadline and that ministry staff members had been assigned roles.
