Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan (PDP, Kogi Central) has leveled allegations of sexual harassment against Senate President Godswill Akpabio, further intensifying their ongoing conflict.
During an appearance on ARISE TV on Friday, the senator, who has been embroiled in a contentious exchange with Akpabio, asserted that she possesses evidence to substantiate her claims, noting that her husband serves as a witness.
This allegation arises amidst rising tensions following the recent unauthorized relocation of her Senate seat, which sparked a heated confrontation with Akpabio.
The issue has since been referred to the Senate Committee on Ethics, Privileges, and Public Petitions, led by Senator Neda Imaseun (LP, Edo South), which has been given a two-week timeframe to deliver its findings.
She stated:
“Apkabio made s3xual advances on me in the presence of my husband. A day before he apologized concerning the ‘night club incident,’ Sen. Bamidele called me in the night in the presence of my husband. Sen. Akpabio called me few minutes later to tell me what the Dein of Agbor said to him”
In addition, Akpoti-Uduaghan has initiated a fundamental human rights lawsuit against Akpabio, seeking N100.3 billion, as their dispute escalates.
