Akwa Ibom State Commissioner For Investment, Prof. Eno Ikpe Has Died
The Government of Akwa Ibom State has announced the passing away of Prof. Eno Blankson Ikpe who died on November 8, 2017 after a protracted illness.
Until her demise, Prof. Ikpe was the Honorable Commissioner for Investment, Commerce and Industry in Akwa Ibom State who hailed from Etinan LGA, she was a recipient of various academic awards, including the prestigious awards of the German Academic Exchange Service.
In a statement signed by Charles Udoh the Honourable Commissioner for Information and Strategy, ‘our hearts go out to her immediate family and loved ones; and we ask God to grant them the fortitude to bear this irreplaceable loss. Funeral arrangements will be announced after consultations with members of her family.
In a symbolic show of respect for the departed member of the Akwa Ibom State Executive Council, His Excellency, Governor Udom Emmanuel has directed that all flags in the state be flown at half-mast until further notice. Let us pray for the departed Soul of Prof. Eno Ikpe and for her bereaved family. May her soul rest in Eternal Peace!’.
