Alarm about Missing Organs of 14 Residents in FCT False Says Police

The alarm raised by 14 territory residents that their organs were missing has been disproved, according to the Federal Capital Territory’s (FCT) Police Command, which announced this on Tuesday.

The alarm was found to be false after each of those who raised the alarm underwent a medical examination, according to Mr. Haruna Garba, Police Commissioner for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

When Garba briefed journalists in Abuja on the command’s successes in the fight against crime, he made this information known.

He added that due to the verification of their lies, the 14 involved were currently being prosecuted.

For spreading untrue information and stirring up public disturbances, they are being prosecuted.

The false alarm had also misled the Police in handling mob action that was carried out against more than 10 accused persons in the FCT in the previous few weeks,” the report continued. “.

In the FCT’s Garshi, Gwagwalada, and Kwali areas, more than ten cases, according to Garba, were reported to the command. Some of these cases, he added, progressed to youth mob actions.

But according to the police chief, none of the incidents were fatal.

Over 10 cases of purportedly missing male organs have been reported by the FCT Police Command, and there have been an increasing number of incidents of violent mob action by enraged youths.

To stop the loss of lives and property and to reinstate law and order, the Police Command had to step in.

“Fourteen suspects who claimed that their male reproductive organs had vanished were taken to the hospital, where the attending physician confirmed that their organs were present and functioning.

As a result, he added, “they were charged with giving false information and inciting public disturbance.”

Garba pleaded with the locals not to raise false alarms and to caution their children and dependents.

Additionally, the police chief urged them to avoid using mob or jungle justice because doing so might result in the death of innocent people.

According to him, hospitals can treat patients in an emergency without waiting for a police report.

The victim of “one chance” operators, Miss Greatness Olorunfemi, was thrown out of a moving vehicle by her suspected attackers in Abuja. Garba made this statement in response to questions from newsmen about her.

An unconfirmed report claims that Olorunfemi, who was brought to the hospital by a good Samaritan, was left behind by medical staff at the Maitama District Hospital.

She was said to have been abandoned to die because there was no police report.

In the interim, the Federal Capital Territory Authority (FCTA) had denied the assertion, asserting that the report was untrue.

The victim was brought in dead to the hospital, according to Buhari Yakasai, Assistant Director, FCTA health services and environment, who responded to the development in a statement on Monday in Abuja.

In order to avoid becoming a victim of one chance, the police chief also cautioned citizens against boarding unpainted taxis.

“I wish to advise residents of the FCT to be wary of the kind of vehicles they board. It is advised that they should board only painted taxis from designated motor parks.
