Alesh Sanni has expressed his disappointment over the alleged injustice against a man who allegedly stole a fowl.
Nollywood actor and fashion aficionado Alesh Sanni has expressed his concerns regarding the alleged injustice faced by an individual who was reportedly convicted for stealing a chicken.
Recent reports indicate that a court in Osun State has sentenced a man to 14 years in prison for this offense.
Actress Biola Bayo has conducted an interview with the man’s mother on her program, where she voiced her distress over the perceived injustice inflicted upon her family and appealed to the governor of Osun State for assistance.
While the specifics of the case remain unclear, the Osun State government has pledged to take action following the widespread circulation of the video online.
In response to the reports concerning the man’s sentencing, Alesh Sanni criticized those in positions of authority who misuse their power.
He emphasized that the government is not always at fault; rather, it is the malevolence inherent in some individuals in power that leads to such misconduct.
He wrote, People in power just do anyhow in this my country Nigeria…. Imagine someone just stole a fowl and was sentenced… Imagine 14 years in prison for just a fowl…. Please those in charge should be published because whyyyyyy… This isn’t about government but about the evil people in power. You people have no fear of God. This is really sad…. It takes nothing chai… Nothing but freedom walai chai”
