  • Alex Unusual, former Big Brother Naija housemate, has expressed anger over a viral video revealing a brutal group assault on a fellow classmate at Federal Government College, Enugu.
  • She criticized the act as barbaric and called for severe consequences, citing a long-standing school culture of student-on-student violence.
  • Alex shared her experiences of abuse at FGC Enugu, describing 2011 and 2012 as challenging years due to widespread bullying and mass beatings.

Former Big Brother Naija contestant, Alex Unusual, has voiced her outrage regarding a viral video that depicts students from her former school, Federal Government College (FGC), Enugu, participating in a violent group attack on a fellow student.

She denounced the incident as barbaric and urged for stringent consequences, highlighting a persistent culture of violence among students at the institution.

In her social media commentary, Alex recounted her own experiences with similar mistreatment during her tenure at FGC Enugu, describing the years 2011 and 2012 as particularly difficult due to rampant bullying and collective assaults.

Reflecting on her past, she stated, “I can’t count how many times I had to endure people hitting me like this, but one thing is sure: I made sure nobody went through it on my watch as a senior.”

She emphasized that she never engaged in such behavior, inviting anyone who claims otherwise to come forward.

Alex criticized the school for what she views as a systemic problem, asserting that this incident is not an isolated case but rather a recurring issue stemming from a long-standing culture of retaliation and bullying among students.

She expressed disappointment that, despite her efforts to report these incidents to school authorities during her time there, minimal action was taken due to a prevailing culture of bribery and apathy among certain staff members.

The reality television star urged the Ministry of Education and other relevant authorities to address these issues in federal and unity schools, emphasizing that discipline should never involve collective violence.

She stated, “While some people see this as training or discipline, I see it as an act by heartless people.”
