Aliko Dangote set to acquire French football club

Aliko Dangote, the richest man in Africa and the head of a major Nigerian conglomerate, is reportedly close to acquiring the French Ligue 2 team Valenciennes.

The CEO of the Dangote Group is reportedly planning to purchase a 60 percent stake in the team, according to French media reports.

The largest industrial conglomerate in Africa, the Dangote Group, had previously expressed interest in purchasing Premier League team Arsenal, but the deal fell through.

Since its founding in 1913, Valenciennes has played its home matches at the Stade du Hainaut.

The team has played in Ligue 1 for 40 seasons and Ligue 2 for 36; during that time, they have won the Ligue 2 championship twice, but not the Ligue 1 championship.

Comedian, actress and academic, Dr Helen Paul has reacted to recent Google search which indicates that Billionaire Aliko Dangote is the owner of Nigeria.

It was observed that when one Searches for ‘Who is the owner of Nigeria?’ via Google search, the name of the Northern Businessman pops up.

Reacting to that, the famous Nigerian comedienne who was recently appointed as a professor and Head of the Department of Arts, Music and Entertainment at Heart Bible International University, United States took to her Instagram page to hail ‘Aliko Dangote ‘ for this latest achievements. Helen Paul wrote: “

He owns 85% of publicly-traded Dangote Cement through a holding company.
