The much anticipated Big Brother Naija “Shine Ya Eye” season kicked off on Saturday, July 24th.

It was a two-day launch with the men making it to the house on the Saturday and the ladies joining them the next day, Sunday.

Twenty-two housemates will be  competing for the N90 million grand prize if the two wild cards don’t get removed from the house.Below is all you need to know about the 22 housemates.

The guys

Boma BBNaija Season 6

The first housemate to enter the house was Boma Akpore.

He is from Yaba and he is a mixologist, masseuse, and actor. He is 34 years old.

Boma had an “extremely tough”, childhood. He said, one of the hardest decisions he had to make was to drop out in his final year, as he couldn’t make ends meet, but his life’s high point came when he saved enough money to pay for film school, an achievement that was subsequently eclipsed by his graduation.

Boma is well known in the entertainment circle, and he has featured in some movies including the popular TV series, “The Blacklist.”

Boma used to be a soccer player as well but his dream of becoming a football star got crushed after he had an unfortunate injury.

He describes himself as sweet, sexy, and an intelligent guy. Boma has done through a divorce but says he’s so ready to mingle.

Saga BBNaija Season6

Born Adeoluwa Okusaga, Saga is from Port Harcourt. He’s an engineer, a fitness coach, and a portrait painter. He is 28-years old.

His love for fitness led him to start an online fitness club that has members from all around the world.

He claims to be known as a “woman wrapper” because he mingles well with women. He says he will be the guy all the ladies can talk to and added that he is sure some of the male housemates might fight him over that as, he claims, it has always been the case for him. However, he says he’s a free spirit.

Saga says he is looking to drop engineering and enter into entertainment which is why he decided to come for BBN.

Yousef

Yussif Garba is a 29-year-old high school teacher by profession but also does modeling and hosts show in-between.

Apart from being a big food enthusiast, Yousef enjoys hiking, reading, traveling, and sports.

Yousef reckons to form a clique “feels like forming a gang”, that’s why he would rather be friends with everyone in the House; although he was quick to mention that, he probably won’t get along with people who think they are better than others.

Yousef counts winning the Mr. University of Jos and Jos Carnival King titles as the highest points in his life.

Pere

Pere Egbi was born in Warri, Delta State.

He is a qualified nurse and served in the United States military for six years, before coming back to Nigeria to pursue a career in real estate.

This vibrant 35-year-old is also a part-time actor and a model.

He calls himself the “drama king” because he believes he brings the drama wherever he goes and is ready to bring it to the game with a sprinkle of “gas gbos.”

He enjoys dancing, playing games, writing, bar-hopping, and water rafting.

Whitemoney

Hazel Oyeze Onou, a.k.a, Whitemoney is a 29-year-old Lagos-based businessman and entertainer.

He is into imports but says his main thing is importing designer shoes.

Multitalented Whitemoney describes himself as an open-minded “jolly good fellow” who likes to have fun. His hobbies include driving, hustling, watching movies, and making music.

White money says he will be giving back the vibe he gets from his housemates and doesn’t make enemies.

Niyi

Adeniyi Lawai is the married man of this season.

The 34-year-old former basketball player is a “happily married man” with a 4-yea old son. Niyi is married to a beautiful white woman.

Standing at 6.6 feet tall, Niyi used to play basketball and had dreams of being a professional player but that dream was crushed after he suffered a sciatica injury.

Niyi is now into business and owns a gaming and event center in Cape Town, South Africa.

He describes himself as the life of the party, “optimistic, spontaneous and adventurous.” He says he’s on the show to have fun.

Yerins

Born Yerimene Abraham Saibakumo,  the 27-year-old polymath is a professional medical doctor, from Bayelsa state but he is also a painter and does an amazing job at it.

Yerins describes himself as “a perfectionist, creative genius, lover of art and poetic rap music”. He sees himself as a renaissance man who isn’t confined to one profession or career.

The high point of Yerins’ life was when he graduated from Medical University in Ukraine and finally got to see his parents for the first time in 9 years.

According to Yerins, he is bringing drama and originality to the show.

Jaypau

Paul Ephraim is a 29-year-old Lagos-based musician and actor.He described himself as an “entertaining, confident, playful, honest and friendly” person.

He believes Big Brother Naija House is his perfect opportunity to help boost his fledgling career in the Nigerian entertainment industry.

Jaypaul says the lowest point of his life was losing his dad. He described his mom as an “amazing mother” to him and his two “wonderful” sisters.

Emmanuel

Emmanuel Umoh is a 24-year-old model, who hails from Akwa Ibom, but currently resides in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

Emmanuel is the first Nigerian to win the Mister Africa pageant. He also won Mr. Ideal Nigeria in 2019.

He owns and runs a fitness center a unisex salon and spa.

He likes to travel, connect with people and try out new and unique ideas.

Emmanuel says he’s bringing originality to the show. He is single and open to whatever happens in the house.

Sammie

Full name Samuel Jacob Alifa, Sammie is a 26-year-old amateur filmmaker and final year student at Ahmadu Bello University, studying guidance and counseling.

In 2020, he produced his very first short film and now has his sights set on growing his YouTube series and taking his career to the next level.

Sammie loves storytelling, videography, basketball, eating and, hanging out, and describes himself as “tall, handsome and, charismatic.”

He says he’s a dreamer and hopes for the best.

Sammie says he has no strategy for the game but he has his eyes set on the grand prize.

Cross

Ikechukwu Sunday Cross Okonkwo, is a 30-year-old fitness enthusiast and entrepreneur.

Cross describes himself as a “fun-loving, adventurous, spontaneous and “a bad boy with a good heart” who wears his heart on his sleeve. He says he likes pretty women.

When he is not watching movies, traveling clubbing, you will find Cross playing drums or being hype on the mic on an Amapiano or House track or two.

 The Ladies

Angel

Angel Agnes Smith is a 21-year- old writer and poet. She thinks her name is befitting because she believes she’s “truly a goddess.”

Angel is a “proud feminist” and likes writing, watching movies, and, loves tattoos. She has 11 tattoos on her body.

She describes herself as a fun, easy, likable person. If she is not in the club dancing, you will find her on the beach writing poetry.

Angel believes being on Big Brother Naija will help her kick-start her journey in writing and cinematography.

Peace

Known as Peace Ogor, the 26-year-old is an entrepreneur from Port Harcourt. She is into fashion.

Her passion for fashion and style inspired her to open her very own clothing store that keeps busy.

She describes herself as “a fun, sociable, daring team player” and believes her multicultural background makes her relatable.

Tega

Tega Dominic is a 29-year-old business owner. She loves dancing, traveling, DIYs and photography.

When she’s not doing any of the above, you can catch Tega swimming, or being the life of a party.

Tega is a mother of one, and one her favourite things is motherhood because it has changed her perspective on a lot.

She describes herself as outgoing, enthusiastic and, passionate.

Jackie B

Jackie Bent is an interior designer and a certified event and wedding planner.

The 29-year-old is a proud single mum. Jackie had her son in the UK where she went for her tertiary education.

She describes herself as an “introverted extrovert” and insists she is shy but confident.

Jackie says she is driven by money and success and wants to make sure she can take care of herself and her family.

Maria

Mariaa Chike Agueze is a 29-year-old former air hostess turned realtor, who sells in Dubai… but looking forward to breaking into Nigeria.

Her travels have taken her around the world and to all continents, except Antarctica.

Maria enjoys cooking, exercising, hiking, acting, and dancing, and always looking for new adventures.

She prides herself on being a loving and kind-hearted person but when taken for granted, “I can get extreme when disrespected to the fullest”.

Having a go-getter attitude is one of her favorite character traits. Maria dislikes being broke that is why she is at Big Brother to “just grab the money and go.

She is single and open to something if it comes along in the house.

Arin

Arinola Olowoporoku is a 29-year-old feminist, who was raised in a polygamous home in Lagos.

She studied genetics and is a fashion designer and an independent arts and culture curator dedicated to promoting the contemporary visual arts in Africa.

Arin describes herself as an emotional, strong, creative, opinionated and, unapologetically expressive person, and says she “has no filter most times”.

She is eclectic and loves piercings. She has about 17 piercings on her face and says maybe more to come.

Liquorose

Born Roseline Omokhoa Afije, Liquorose is a professional dancer.

The 22-year-old speaks of herself as “a down-to-earth go-getter.”

Although she loves to meet new people, Liquorose admits she doesn’t do well with people who talk too much and doesn’t like bad energy.

She says will be bringing drama and some craziness to the BBN house.

Beatrice

Beatrice Agba Nwaji is a fashion model and up-and-coming actress. She is a graduate of the University of Port Harcourt where she studied marketing.

She is a 28-year-old single mother of a five-year-old boy.

Beatrice says she can sing, dance, play basketball and football very well and is also a great hairstylist.

She is a talented software developer and when it comes to games, she says she is always the winner or the first runner up, even when she is not familiar with the game.

Beatrice says she is single… for now.

Princess

Princess Francis is a 30-year-old e-hailing service driver and business owner and lives in Abuja but comes from Imo State. She has been a driver for the past year.

Princess lists buying her very first car as the highest point in her life. Her lowest, on the other hand, is when she found out her dad passed away.

She enjoys cooking, traveling and, watching movies. She takes pride in being a lovable, caring, fun person but confesses she is hot-tempered and can be a little dramatic sometimes.

She has urged fans to expect to go on a ride with her.

Saskay

Full name, Tsakute Jonah, Saskay is a 22-year-old model from Abuja.

She is an extrovert and a lover of books. She enjoys all types of music and speaks of herself as “an embodiment of art”.

Discovering her talents and skills and using them to impact others and improve her persona, while striving to find her space in the world, is what she considers to be a high point in her life.

Saskay says she’s not a fan of drama but she is extremely emotional and can cry at the least thing.

Saskay is not single but she doesn’t have a solid relationship so she is a little worried about being in the house with all the fine boys around her.

Nini

Real name, Anita Singh, Nini is a 27-year-old economist and fashion entrepreneur, born and raised in Nigeria.

She currently lives in Abuja and is a graduate of the University of Abuja.

Nini describes herself as being “curious, dramatic, ambitious and fun” and admits she loves to be the center of attention. Her hobbies include cleaning, cooking, traveling photography.

She has four siblings and a supportive mother whom she says she loves very much.

Nini says she can be so many things, she hates to lose, and is not a trouble maker. But says ” if you bring trouble, I will give you double.”
