American actress, Halle Berry blasts ex-husband Eric Benét’s claims of being a s3x addict

American actress Halle Berry, aged 58, has criticized her ex-husband Eric Benét’s assertions regarding his struggle with sex addiction.

It was previously reported in 2002 that musician Benét, 57, entered rehabilitation to address his alleged sex addiction.

During a recent episode of Dax Shepard’s Armchair Expert podcast, Berry expressed her disbelief regarding her second husband’s claims, stating that she does not “f***ing believe” in his self-identified sex addiction.

‘I had one husband who said he was a sex addict,’ she said about an unnamed ex. ‘But I don’t fing believe that s.’

Berry and Benét were married in 2001 after a two-year courtship. However, their relationship became strained when Berry discovered Benét’s infidelity throughout their time together. Following these revelations, Benét sought treatment in rehab.

In 2003, the couple announced their separation.

“Eric and I have had marital problems for some time now and have tried to work things out together,” Berry stated in a press release to Entertainment Weekly at that time. “However, at this point, I feel we need time apart to reevaluate our union. We ask that you respect our privacy as we are going through this emotional time.”

After their divorce was finalized in 2005, Benét moved on to marry Manuela Testolini in July 2011. They have two daughters, Lucia Bella, aged 12, and Amoura Luna, aged 10.

Subsequently, Berry entered a relationship with Gabriel Aubry from 2005 to 2010, with whom she shares a daughter, Nahla Ariela, born in March 2008. Following her breakup with Aubry, Berry began dating Olivier Martinez. The couple married in July 2013 and welcomed their son, Maceo-Robert, in October of that year. Berry and Martinez divorced in 2016.

After her separation from Martinez, Berry began a relationship with her current partner, Van Hunt, in 2020. The Oscar-winning actress has described her relationship with the singer of “Seconds of Pleasure” as her “longest” to date.

“We celebrated when we hit four years like we had been married 20 years, that’s how big it was for me personally. He’s had long relationships, not me. … We both were scared,” she said on Monday. “He was waiting for the shoe to drop, and I was waiting to drop the f—ing shoe. Because I just can’t get past that. It’s been such a relief. ‘OK, yes, I can do this relationship thing.’ And he is my person and you just know it. And [he’s] calm and he’s what I’ve been dreaming of, searching for, needing.”
