Kunle Remi, a Nollywood actor, has updated his fans on his AMVCA outfit amid the drama surrounding his nomination snub by the organizers.

The exclusion of Anikulapo’s lead actor from the ninth edition of Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards sparked outrage among fans and netizens.

Kunle Remi shared how he dressed for the prestigious awards by posting photos of his clothes online. He added, “I showed up to the AMVCA as KUNLE REMI in @konye_clothings.”

Recall that Kunle Remi finally addressed his snub at the nominations of the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards, AMVCA 2023.

Kunle Remi was omitted from the list of nominees for the prestigious prizes despite his indisputable significance in Kunle Afolayan’s epic drama, Anikulapo, which received 16 nominations.

Anikulapo received 16 AMVCA nominations, however the principal actor, Kunle Remi, who drew many viewers to the film, was not among them.

Kunle Remi discussed his omission from the award in an interview with Your View. He claims that AMVCA does not belong to him and that he does not host the show. He asserted that his snub had no effect on him, his style, fame, or energy.

Kunle Remi stated that he remains unaffected by the snub because his role as ‘Saro’ was accepted as a challenge rather than an award.

Many believe Kunle Remi’s rejection was due to an interview he gave in which he discussed a senior colleague attempting to seduce him into homosexuality.
