In a statement released on Friday, February 16, 2024, Chidimma Ikeanyionwu, the media assistant to State Women and Social Welfare Commissioner, Hon. Ify Obinabo, confirmed the occurrence.
She stated that the suspect turned herself in to the Anambra Police Command in Awka.
Happiness Nwafor, the minor, was allegedly injured by Mrs. Okafor using knives and other sharp objects.
Speaking about the latest development, Obinabo said that Adachukwu, the suspect, will be charged next week in the Children, Sexual and Gender Based Violence Magistrate court in Awka.
