    • Tems won the Best African Music Performance award at the prestigious awards and dedicated her victory to her mother during her acceptance speech.
    • Portable, in an Instagram post, emphasized that being nominated doesn’t equate to winning and emphasized his self-dedication to secure a Grammy.

Controversial artist Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has joined the chorus of celebrity reactions concerning the results of the 67th Grammy Awards held in the United States.

On Monday, Tems secured the award for Best African Music Performance and dedicated her achievement to her mother during her acceptance speech.

In a post on Instagram, Portable emphasized that a nomination does not guarantee a win. He confidently proclaimed himself as his own source of support and expressed his ambition to attain a Grammy.

He asserted that he possesses hit songs and claimed to have already achieved significant success. Criticizing Nigerian artists who did not win at the Grammys, he remarked that a female artist had surpassed them.

He also noted that singer Asake attended the ceremony in a military uniform, suggesting that the occasion was not about conflict but rather a celebration of success.

Furthermore, the musician asserted that any artist collaborating with him would inevitably secure a Grammy Award.

In a video montage, the leader of Zeh Nation stated that Naira Marley was destined to win a Grammy Award.

He justified this assertion by stating that Naira Marley had gained international fame prior to his return to Nigeria.

Portable encouraged Skpeta to submit their collaboration, ‘Tony Montana,’ for consideration at the next Grammy Awards. He also urged Olamide to put forward their popular track, ‘Zazu,’ for the forthcoming Grammy Awards.

He partly said, “Olamide picked me and I came out from nowhere, nobody rise me, God is my pioneer, I’m telling if not that you neglected me I would have won Grammy, feature me if you want to collect Grammy, drop verse for me I get chorus, ordinary woman collected the Grammy from you people.”

Captioning the video, he wrote, “Failure is not an option for me I don’t have backup I am the backup that’s why am working hard I believe in my phone and sub any disappointment is a blessing”
