APC Lawsuit against Edo Governor, Obaseki over Certificate Forgery Begins Court Hearing
Remember that the APC has dragged Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki to court over what they believe is a criminal offence.
According to them, the governor forged his certificates to get his way into power. This lawsuit comes after Obaseki’s former school, the University of Ibadan confirmed that the governor was a former student.
The hearing commenced to at a Federal High Court, Abuja. Joined in the suit is the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
The APC is praying the court disqualifies Obaseki’s election on the grounds that he deceived Nigerians especially the people of Edo with his false information on oath to INEC, an act said to be contrary to Section 31(5) and (6) of the Electoral Act, 2010.
