Popular Nigerian cleric, Apostle Johnson Suleman, has cautioned his followers against dedicating their entire lives to financially supporting their family members at the expense of their own well-being.
During a recent sermon at Omega Fire Ministries International, the outspoken pastor emphasized the importance of balance when assisting loved ones. He advised his congregation to plan their lives wisely and avoid making financial commitments beyond their capacity, stressing that neglecting personal stability could lead to regret.
In his words:
“Plan your life while you carry people along. Number your days. Don’t spend everything you have on family. Don’t spend all your life carrying your brothers and sisters. You have a life to live—this is a hard truth. Plan your life; don’t spend all your money on school fees. Look for a school that you can afford.”
His message has sparked discussions on social media, with many agreeing that while supporting family is important, personal financial security should remain a priority.
