Apply now: NNPC announces nationwide job vacancies for Nigerians

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC) announced job openings at various levels, encouraging both recent graduates and experienced professionals to apply.

On Friday, July 26, 2024, the NNPC made the announcement via a post on its official X handle.

To avoid fraudulent schemes, the company advised that applications should be submitted through its official website.

The NNPC underlined that it does not collect fees for job applications and advised candidates against supplying false information, which would result in immediate disqualification and possible prosecution.

Opportunities for Fresh Graduates

NNPC is hiring young graduates under the Graduate Trainee program. The applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in First Class or Second Class Upper Division, or an HND (Distinction).
  • Alternatively, a Bachelor’s Degree in Second Class Lower Division with a completed Master’s Degree, or an HND (Upper Credit) with a completed Master’s Degree.
  • Graduation from an accredited institution not earlier than 2019.
  • Completion of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program.
  • Not more than 28 years of age as of December 31, 2024.
  • Possess good communication, computer, and interpersonal skills.

The company is recruiting graduates from diverse filds, including science, engineering, business administration, social sciences, arts and humanities, and law.

Positions for Experienced Professionals

NNPC is also hiring professionals for the Supervisory Cadre. The candidates are anticipated to:

  • Provide professional and leadership expertise to achieve NNPC’s business objectives.
  • Develop and implement strategies for operational excellence.
  • Ensure cost-effectiveness and compliance with statutory regulations.
  • Drive team performance and development.

Applicants must have qualifications in related fields such as geosciences, petroleum engineering, well engineering, general engineering, commercial finance, information technology, law, and security.

A Bachelor’s Degree in the First Class/Second Class Upper Division, or an HND (Distinction), is required, as is a completed Master’s Degree.
