On Monday they walked their first red carpet together, at the 2018 MTV Music Video Awards. And two days later, Ariana Grande, 25, confirmed when she’d be walking down the aisle with fiance Pete Davidson, 24, in an interview with Good Morning America.
‘It’s gonna be, like, next year,’ she said of the couple’s forthcoming wedding.
The Dangerous Woman hitmaker also spoke about knowing the SNL funnyman was the one for her, gushing: ‘He just ticks every box, and it gets better every day’. In a recent interview with Apple Beats 1 Radio, the pop superstar revealed the foresight she had when she first crossed paths with Pete, when she appeared on the NBC comedy staple.
‘I jokingly said during SNL that I’m going to marry that man – I was joking,’ she said. ‘I thought he was cutest thing, and clever and brilliant … it was a little crush.’
She said they crossed paths again when she was promoting a project in New York City while her manager, Scooter Braun, was on the SNL set with Davidson.
‘I said, “Tell him I said hi,” and he texted me, “Yo, it’s Pete,” and we were inseparable,’ she said.
While talking to GMA, the No Tears Left To Cry singer also divulged some details about the wedding planning.
‘My friends and I, and my mom and everybody have been brainstorming and sharing ideas,’ she said.
‘It’s really fun. I work so much I’ve never spent so much time planning something that’s personal, that feeds my soul so much and my heart.
‘I’m gonna cry. I’m just so excited.’
Grande was previously in a relationship with musician Mac Miller for two years, while Davidson had been dating Cazzie David, also for two years.
