Arsenal FC’s manager, Arsene Wenger has broken yet another EPL record after his handling the club’s Sunday meant he has taken charge over more Premier League games than any other manager.
This record has been hitherto held by ex-Man United manger, Sir Alex Ferguson.
Wenger’s 811th game since joining the Gunners in 1996 moves him ahead of the former Manchester United boss. Ferguson, however, managed United for 225 First Division games from his appointment in Nov. 1986 to the advent of the Premier League in 1992.
The Frenchman surpassed the Scot by taking charge of the game at West Bromwich Albion on New Year’s Eve. Dec. 31 is Ferguson’s 76th birthday, and West Brom were also the opposition for his 1,500th and final match in all competitions as United boss — a memorable 5-5 draw at The Hawthorns on May 19, 2013.
Here is Arsene Wenger’s record in the 810 matches before the WBA fixture:

Draws: 197
Losses: 145
Goals for: 1,524
Goals against: 781
Points: 1,601
Points per game: 1.98
Goal difference: +743
Premier League titles: 3
Manager of the Year awards: 3
