Bella Shmurda, a Nigerian musician, has emphasized the importance of performers respecting the afrobeat genre rather than trashing it.
The singer was disappointed by recent comments from singers such as Wizkid and Burna Boy that disrespected the afrobeat genre.
He avoided commenting on it because he didn’t want to make enemies in the industry.
Bella believes that musicians should respect and not degrade the genre because it is theirs, regardless of their level of success in their respective careers.
