Yemi Elesho, a well-known skit maker and content producer, has disclosed that Asake’s former pals from his days as a rising musician are upset by his seeming disrespect for their messages.
In a recent exclusive interview with Echo Room, Yemi Elesho, who walked the same university corridors as Asake, revealed that the acclaimed singer struggled financially during his early years at Obafemi Awolowo University in Ile-Ife, where he couldn’t even pay for housing and relied solely on the generosity of his friends.
Elesho admitted that after becoming famous, Asake has moved away from his former network of acquaintances.
However, he gave the viewpoint that it is only reasonable for Asake to prefer certain connections over others, given the limits of celebrity and the impossibility to accommodate everyone in his newly discovered prosperity.
Yemi Elesho explained,
“Asake is big and a lot of his friends are complaining that he doesn’t reply their messages but it’s a natural thing, he can’t carry everybody along.”
In a groundbreaking move, Asake inked a deal with YBNL Nation in the electrifying month of February 2022.
