Famous fashion designer Veekee James mocks Nigerians after their nation’s defeat to Ivory Coast in the AFCON 2023 finals.
It will be remembered that many Nigerians, including celebrities, started to voice their dissatisfaction amid the glitz and attention of the designer’s wedding.
But in a since-deleted tweet, VeeKee James trod on toes after the Super Eagles’ game against Ivory Coast ended in a defeat despite Nigerians’ great aspirations of winning the AFCON cup.
She made it clear that Nigerians would eventually get preoccupied with the match’s loss, saving her from angry outbursts and complaints about the glitz of her wedding.
In her words, “At least una go leave me now carry una anger face Super Eagles.”
But many others found the comment offensive, which sparked a second round of criticism from social media users.
