The music world is grieving once more with the announcement of the passing of Richard Olorunrokan Adekola, known as King Rokan, a Fuji artist from Atlanta.

His friend Ayo Shonaiya shared the heartbreaking news on Instagram, and fans are also expressing their sorrow for his loss.

Shonaiya mentioned that King Rokan was the one who welcomed him to Atlanta many years ago.

He remarked that the late singer’s influence in the city will always be remembered.

Sharing a clip from one of their interviews, Shonaiya described the artist as a father, friend, and brother.

In his post, the friend of the late artist shared a music video of his song, noting that King Rokan introduced his music to Nigeria in 2004 and was responsible for taking him to Eko FM for an interview.

Shonaiya praised his friend, saying that King Rokan was aware that Fuji would dominate the world.

He mentioned he was making a documentary and included a clip of King Rokan, but sadly, he didn’t get to see the final product.

Last year was tough for the entertainment industry, with several actors and singers sadly passing away. This year, a movie producer has also died.
