Nigerian comedian and actor Ayo Makun, known as AY, recently shared his thoughts with fans on Instagram. He mentioned his intention to target Facebook bloggers as scapegoats.

GistLover noted that Nigerians were taken aback by an AI video of AY and May Edochie circulating on social media.

AY and May have been collaborating to promote the comedian’s new film, The Waiter. However, a doctored video surfaced showing the comedian and Yul Edochie’s estranged wife sharing a kiss on a plane.

Following AY’s comments on the fake video, a fan named dadziel1 suggested that the comedian should blame bloggers on Facebook.

A fan said, “Please, Sir, can you make some of those N0nsense bloggers on Facebook the scapegoat?”

In response, AY responded that he was considering it, but noted that fans would still accuse him of oppression.

“dadziel1 To be honest, I am actually planning to. But una go still drag me say I dey oppress the person based on who i be,” AY said.

A Facebook blogger named Awuzie Frankline, who was mentioned in the edited video shared by AY on Instagram, suggested that the comedian might pursue legal action.

Awuzie mentioned he wasn’t worried about any legal consequences since his post was aimed at those who made the altered video.

“Upon seeing AY’s post with my name in the caption, my wife contacted me, stating that AY had included my name on the list of people he intends to sue. My wife was chocked when I responded with ‘Thank You Jesus.’ My wife asked if I was not fearful, to which I replied that it would be an honor to encounter him in court. My post was only against the people that did that,” he said.
