In a raid by bandits on the Catholic Parish House in Kamanton, Zango Kataf Local Government Area of Kaduna State , A seminarian, bro Stephen Naman Ngofe was burned beyond recognition and left for dead on Thursday night.
Kamantan’s Parish is a part of the Jema’a Local Government Area’s Catholic Diocese of Kafanchan.
The parish house was stormed at 8 p.m., according to newsmen and set it ablaze along with a vehicle, and set it on fire.
According to sources, the dead seminarian, Stephen, passed away after breathing in smoke while attempting to flee the assailants’ grasp.
The incident was confirmed by the acting public relations officer for the Kaduna State Police Command, ASP Mansir Alhassan.
Two other people who were in the building at the time the incident occurred manage to flee the oncoming blaze and the attackers’ abduction attempt.
They are Assistant Parish Priest Monday Noah and Parish Priest Emmanuel Okolo.
