Banky W shuts down rumours of beef with Wizkid as he seen at his mother’s funeral

Despite reports that former music label CEO Banky W had a falling out with his former signee, Wizkid, the two appear to be in contact.

Banky W was shockingly present at the Grammy singer’s mother’s funeral ceremony on Friday night.

With his attendance at the star-studded wedding, the former E.M.E chairman put an end to tales of ill blood between him and the artist.

Banky W was seen in footage going viral wearing a white agbada and smiling for the cameras. Adesua Etomi, the singer’s wife, was conspicuously absent from the event.

His presence demonstrates that everything is fine between Banky W and Wizkid, his former signee.

Wizkid hinted at a falling out with Banky a year ago when he publicly unfollowed him on social media.

Banky W spoke with Ebuka Obi-Uchendu on the BlackBox interview series and acknowledged that he was disappointed in the former EME signee for not attending his wedding.

He also claimed that the artist owed his recordthree albums.

According to Banky W, Wizkid wanted to quit the label before his contract expired, and because to his personality, he couldn’t stop him.

Hours after his interview, Wizkid replied to his former label boss via Twitter, where he wrote, “My answer to everything is Lol and OK. Chop life abeg.”

To make matters worse, the award-winning musician had unfollowed his boss on the microblogging network Twitter.
