Bayowa seized my earnings because I refused to sleep with him – Gospel singer Busola Eleyele opens can of worms

  • Busola Oke recently expressed her serious concern about the struggle that the late Mohbad faced while working for his old record label.
    • She bravely revealed her own unpleasant experiences at the hands of her employer and marketing agent, Bayowa Films, during the process.
    • She brazenly claimed that the famed Yoruba cinema practitioner had wrongfully taken her hard-earned income and gains merely because she flatly refused his sexual approaches.

Busola Oke, a Nigerian gospel singer, has accused her marketer, Bayowa Films, of refusing to pay her royalties from her music because she refused to engage in a sexual relationship with him.

In a newly published video, the gospel singer lamented her inability to claim to any accomplishments despite having recorded songs that produced significant cash under Bayowa Films.

The talented songstress revealed that following Bayo Films’ betrayal, during which he unlawfully confiscated her earnings from the numerous hit songs she produced under his management, she was compelled to sell her assets and endured substantial financial losses from which she is yet to fully recover.

Reflecting on her initial collaboration with Bayowa and the subsequent release of numerous tracks marketed by him, Busola Oke shared her conviction that the film practitioner will inevitably face the repercussions of his actions.

The aggrieved singer lamented that if not for Bayowa’s heartless and insatiable greed, she should have achieved substantial wealth and recognition by now.

She gave her statement in her native language, which was translated into English.

She said, “My child has been admitted to a college in America, and she needs money. I should be able to say that this is the amount I provided for her needs.”

“Some people have my earnings; they’re enjoying life with it. They’re using my sweat to enjoy life. They’re profiting from my hard work.”

“Only God will judge you, Bayowa. You’re wicked and heartless. The only thing I didn’t lose is that we didn’t have a physical relationship or sleep together.”

“I refused to allow you to take advantage of my body the way you exploited my intellectual property. I’m glad I’m not like that.”

The gospel singer made several other statements in the video, which have been attached below.
