Seun Anikulapo Kuti, a well-known Afrobeats singer, believes that BBNaija should have been developed as a reality program in which the youths contribute solutions to Nigeria’s problems.
During a recent interview with Spade TV Africa, presented by Gbenga Aborowa, the controversial rapper made the suggestion.
According to Seun, the reality TV show’s organizers intended it to be only for amusement, but it could have been geared toward Nigeria’s growth.
He mentioned that the manner the show had been developed was owing to the funding, but they might have concentrated on presenting alternative solutions to Nigeria’s various difficulties.
He added that when the housemates provide solutions, the youth-dominated audience will vote for the most feasible solution rather than the roommates.
Seun said; “Big Brother Naija is the way it is because of the Investment that is put in it. It was designed by certain people to be that way.
“The people that designed Big Brother could have decided that it would be a show where young people discuss the issues of the country and come up with solutions and other young people and viewers can vote on the best solution.
“That means that the people going from entertainment to solutions and national development, they’re investing in solutions for national development.”
