Former Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) ‘Shine Ya Eye’ season 6 champion Hazel Oyeze Onou, a.k.a. Whitemoney, has shown his support for Mercy Eke, a contestant on the reality show, as she competes for a potential second victory in the nearly finished All-Star edition.
Despite Mercy having already won the competition’s season four “Pepper Dem” edition, Whitemoney is endorsing her.
Whitemoney vehemently defended Mercy’s place as a deserving contender for the All-Star edition winner’s title in a recent interview with media personality Hero Daniels.
He asserted that she shouldn’t be disqualified from the chance to win again only because she won the previous season.
Drawing an analogy from the world of sports, Whitemoney highlighted, “If you play a championship cup and win, you’d go home the next season and say don’t wanna play again? No! You have to keep winning.”
He argued that Mercy’s pursuit of a second victory was not only legitimate but would also enhance her profile, prestige, and the brand she is striving to build.
In Whitemoney’s words;
“If you play a championship cup and win, you’d go home the next season and say don’t wanna play again? No! You have to keep winning.
“Mercy does deserve to win. If she wins it, that’s good for her profile. It’s good for her prestige. It’s good for whatever she is trying to build. “So, if she wins it again that would be very nice. No cap.”
