In other news, Up-and-coming music producer Okafor Chukwunweike David, known as Nteletua, has shared his surprising journey into the Nigerian music scene.
In a recent chat with The Nation, the producer from Anambra State, who is part of a family of five, talked about how he unexpectedly got into music production.
Nteletua graduated with a degree in Electrical Engineering from Nnamdi Azikiwe University and also earned a second degree in the same field from the National Metallurgical Institute.
Nteletua started his professional music career around 2013 or 2014 and shared the story of how it began. “It happened unexpectedly. I had friends who sang in church, and I loved their music. I wanted to help them succeed, so I decided to learn music production to help produce their songs and get them noticed. “While working on music for my friends, people recognized my talent and encouraged me to work with other artists. I gave it a try and started producing for underground artists.”
Nteletua mentioned several notable artists he has teamed up with, like Phyno, Zlatan, Mr. Real, Blaqbonez, Portable, and DJ Enimoney, among others.
When he was asked which artists he would like to work with in the future, he said, “I would love to work with Burna Boy, Wurld, Wizkid, Ayra Starr, Kanye West, and Rema.”
