Nigerian comedian Chibunna Stanley, known as Funnybone, has sparked a heated discussion with his bold doubts about Pastor Abel Damina.
The pastor has recently caused a stir by criticizing other ministers who take tithes and follow traditional Christian customs.
Dr. Damina’s outspoken criticisms have led to varied responses from Nigerians. Some praise him as a reformer, but others claim he is creating conflict and should handle his disputes with fellow clergy away from the public.
In a passionate Instagram post on August 30th, Funnybone called out Damina, labeling him a “sharp-tongued theologian.” He claimed that, despite Damina’s intelligence, he completely lacks the spiritual depth and supernatural abilities needed to be a real preacher.
The comedian, who claimed to have known Damina since his days in Jos, Plateau State, acknowledged that he has long wrestled with the cleric’s contentious interpretations of the Bible.

Celebrities, including Pere Egbi from BBNaija and comedian Ajebo, have jumped into Funnybone’s comment section to express their views on his strong criticism of Apostle Abel Damina.
Pere didn’t hold back, simply stating that Damina is a “no-no” in his book.
Pere Egbi wrote;
“Abel Damina is a No for me bro”
Ajebo noted that his sole conflict with Damina arose when the cleric accepted an invitation to Nedu’s podcast, raising questions about his credibility.
Ajebodcomedian wrote;
“I’ve not really listened to his teachings but you see for a Pastor to wake Up, dress Up and go on Honest Bunch Podcast to talk about another Pastor, that’s a No No”
