Popular Ugandan musician, Mowzey Radio, real name Moses Ssekibogo has died at the age of 33. The singer who provided smooth RnB vocals, as one half of the popular Ugandan group, Goodlyfe Crew, died around 6am today February 1, at Case clinic in Uganda, where he had been receiving treatment from injuries he sustained 9 days ago after getting into a fight at a bar.

According to reports, on January 22nd, Radio was beaten into a coma following a fight with a group at a local hang out spot in Entebbe, Uganda. Five people were arrested for the beating, including the owner of the bar.
His death was announced this morning in a press statement.
Among the first people to mourn his death was Uganda’s President Yoweri Museveni, who, a few days ago, donated money for his hospital treatment.
“I have been told about the untimely death of musician Moses Ssekibogo aka Mowzey Radio. I had only recently made a financial contribution towards his treatment and hoped he would get better. He was a talented young person with a great future ahead of him. May he rest in peace,” Museveni said on twitter.
Mowzey Radio’s body was transferred to Mulago Mortuary for postmortem amidst tight security. He will be buried this Saturday February 3rd at Kaga Nakawuka in Uganda.
Case Hospital, where Mowzey Radio was admitted, was last week the centre of media attention after large crowds converged there after many celebrities came to the hospital to visit Radio.
