Nollywood actress and filmmaker, Temidayo Babatunde, has underscored the notion that mere physical beauty is insufficient for success in the film industry.
In a recent interview with Saturday Beats, Babatunde recognized the significance of appearance while emphasizing that talent is essential for achieving enduring success.
“Beauty is never enough. As much as beauty is important, talent is also very important because your talent will pave the way for you and allow you to sit with kings and queens. Both talent and beauty complement each other, and one cannot do without the other,” she said.
Regarding the impact of social media on her career, she stated, “Social media has been a powerful tool and influence. As much as it has its advantages, it also has its disadvantages. I have had my fair share of it.
“Social media has helped me share my craft and engage with many fans across the world. I would gladly say I am happy with the reception so far.”
Babatunde also expressed her ultimate aspiration as a woman to establish her own family, live a fulfilling life, and achieve greater heights in her career, ultimately gaining international recognition.
The filmmaker, who has produced seven films, including ‘Twist of Fate’, ‘Ife Ojiji’, ‘Ife Fun Ife’, ‘Aseoluwa’, ‘Karahun (Greed)’, and the upcoming ‘Ipa (Force)’, highlighted that her versatility and commitment to her craft have been instrumental in her progress.
