Ex-beauty queen, Agbani Darego, has taken to social media to celebrate the 20th anniversary of her win as Miss World.
Recall that the model was crowned Miss World in 2001, making her the first native African ever to win the Miss World beauty pageant.
While taking to her official Instagram page on Tuesday, Agbani Darego shared a video of herself, showing the moment when she was crowned on the world stage 20 years ago.
“20 years today! Forever thankful for the experience @missworld,” she captioned the post.
Before her emergence as Miss World however, she had won the national beauty pageant, Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria (MBGN).
Agbani Darego then got married to billionaire Theophilus Danjuma’s first son, Ishaya in 2017, in a private ceremony held at the Amanjena Luxury Resort in Marrakech, Morocco.
