In a recent chat on City FM, Fireboy discussed the ongoing conflicts among artists in Nigerian music.

He mentioned that disagreements are a natural part of the music scene since artists are also human.

“Everyone should just focus on what concerns them. Let artists be artists, fans be fans, and the media keep telling the stories,” the singer says.

Fireboy addressed the recent artist conflicts, particularly the one involving Wizkid and Davido, saying, “Beef is just part of life. We are all human.”

He highlighted his preference for staying out of drama.

He also discussed his latest album ‘Adedamola,’ which has collaborations with Lagbaja, Jon Baptiste, Seun Kuti, and Spinall.

According to Fireboy, the idea for collaborating with Lagbaja and Seun Kuti came from Olamide, the YBNL leader and executive producer of the album.

Disputes among artists are not rare in Nigerian music, with well-known conflicts spanning different times.

In the last few years, Ruger and BNXN had a disagreement but later reconciled and released an EP called ‘RnB’. Meanwhile, Davido and Burna Boy are in a public feud that appears to have no end, similar to the recent issues between Wizkid and Davido.
