In a statement on his X handle on Thursday, AY wrote, “Being a Nigerian just gets tougher and tougher by minutes.”

In this revealing video shared online, Aduke Gold’s band manager discusses the pain and hidden struggles she faced in her last days. He describes her as a woman who suffered not only from her physical injuries but also from deep emotional pain, she kept to herself.

The manager explains that Aduke Gold was skilled at concealing her emotions, masking her hurt with a fake smile. He expressed that if she had shared her challenges more openly, she might still be with us today.

The manager recalled how Aduke Gold once shared her troubles and fears with him. But he observed that this changed when she got into a relationship. She stopped asking for help and chose to keep her struggles private.

He further explained that Aduke Gold struggled to advocate for herself. She was often too gentle and forgiving, which allowed others to take advantage of her caring nature.

He recalled many times when he had to intervene and stand up for her, protecting her from those who wanted to take advantage of her or treat her poorly. His voice shook with feeling as he spoke of her strength, carrying her pain with quiet dignity, but it took a heavy toll on her.

In a very heartbreaking moment in the video, the manager revealed that Aduke Gold faced severe beatings, often right after she came back from her shows.

The story took a sadder turn when the manager talked about a call, he received at about 2 a.m. He thought it was strange and didn’t answer.

The following morning, he found out the terrible news—Aduke Gold was dead. Filled with shock and sorrow, he left the film set, his mind racing with the reality of this tragic loss.

As he shared these hurtful memories, his voice faltered, and it was clear he was filled with emotion, unable to go on about the singer’s unfortunate end.
