Ben Affleck & Jennifer Lopez allegedly set to file for Divorce

Ben Affleck, an American actor, and Jennifer Lopez, a singer, are apparently planning to divorce following months of separation rumors.

According to the Daily Mail, the 51-year-old ‘Last Duel’ actor and the 55-year-old celebrity singer are moving on with their divorce after a final attempt at reconciliation in recent weeks fell through.


According to various sources, the couple’s divorce filings are “finalized, but not yet turned in.”

The announcement comes after Affleck purchased a new $20.5 million ‘bachelor pad’ mansion in the Pacific Palisades on Wednesday, July 24, the day Lopez turned 55.

Lopez’s friends claimed Affleck’s surprise bachelor home purchase on her birthday was a’stab to the heart’.

His purchase came just days after the couple offered their Beverly Hills home for $68 million.


According to People, Lopez sold her four-bedroom New York City penthouse for $23 million on July 24.

‘They finalized the divorce papers with her a month ago but are waiting for the proper time to drop them,’ one source close to the couple alleged.

‘At that point, they would issue a joint statement expressing their love for one other and stating that they tried but failed to make it work.

Ultimately, they were unable to reach an agreement. “What they had before is gone, and they have both accepted it,” another person added.


The pair was last seen together on March 30. They have since spent the summer apart, Jennifer on the East Coast and Ben at home in Los Angeles.

They even celebrated their second wedding anniversary on July 16th in different cities.

Reports of Affleck and Lopez’s marital problems first surfaced in May, when a source close to the couple revealed Ben had moved into a $100,000 rental and the couple planned to sell their ‘dream home’.

Affleck’s home was only a short drive from ex-wife Jennifer Garner’s Brentwood home.


The couple were married from 2005 to 2018 and has three children: Violet, 18, Fin, 15, and Samuel, 12.
